High Rise Slots, Realistic Review

Strawberry, lemon and bells and plums - all these symbols are connected with some of the most basic and classic slot games currently on the market. So when all of these appear in the High Rise slot game by Realistic Games I get a good idea what it is all about before making my first spin. This is a game that will not blow you away with stunning graphics or amazingly exciting gameplay. But what it will do is provide you with some good slots action for hours on end if you - like me - love your classic online slot machines.

Just as with most of these classic slots there is not really a major theme to talk about. The design and layout feels like a bit of a throwback to the cars of the 70's with straight edges and darkish colours. There is a massive gap between some of the navigation buttons and I personally feel that this space could have been used for something a bit more productive than some grey colour. Beneath the reels we find very small and narrow frames that tell us how much money we have, the current bet and so on. Even though they are not the most innovative screens on the market they do the job sufficiently enough.

High Rise has a total of three reels which are all stacked three high with symbols. The very small reels look tiny compared to most other games out there. The reels have a total of 5 winning lines that you can bet on. This is a good game for beginners who are just starting to play multi line slots as the betting limits are quite wide. The minimum bet for a single line comes in at just £0.05 which brings the overall minimum bet for a full 5 line spin to just £0.20. Players with a bit more money can put down maximum line bet of £20 which brings the overall maximum bet for the entire slot to £10. High Rise has a maximum jackpot of £2,000 which is good for this type of maximum bet. Realistic Games have managed to get a decent betting range and combined it with a really nice jackpot that will attract a lot of low and middle range players. Even though Realistic are not as famous as many other game providers on the market they still offer this very solid game that will attract quite a few players.

I mentioned some of the symbols right at the beginning of this review and there is not really that much to cheer about when it comes to them from a graphical point of view. The game has a total of seven different symbols that can all appear which is a fairly decent amount for a three times three slot. The lowest paying symbol of the game is the plum along with the strawberry and the halved melon. They are joined by a series of round fruits, including an orange and then a lemon shows up as well. The best paying single symbol is without a doubt the bell which pays out 100 times the maximum bet. If a player manages to fill all the nine frames with the orange he will also be able to claim the maximum jackpot of 100 times the bet.

There is a single bonus feature to this game and that is the gamble. It is very straight forward and will give you the chance to double your winnings that were less than 50 times the bet. However, it is not your standard red or black - higher or lower - gamble game. You will be given a value between -3 and +3 and you can keep playing until you lose the multiplier or until you feel that you have added enough extra money.

So this is not a game that has all the bells and whistles to offer but it is still a very solid game in terms of the layout and the features. If you are feeling like you need a bit of a throwback to the golden days of slots you should definitely give High Rise a chance.
